When Ali Mohadjer was seven years old, his father – a retired military officer – began gardening at their home in Tehran. While assisting his father with flowers and fruit trees, he developed a ‘little green thumb’, and an aspiration to one day have a farm. While Ali’s primary education and experience are in electrical engineering and satellite communications, his interest in agriculture fueled his motivation to complete several courses at the University of Maryland Extension in Sharpsburg, Maryland. Ali has since become a highly accomplished farmer in the community. He has received awards and recognition for his exceptional farming practices, including publications regarding his innovative and successful techniques. Ali is proud to share his passion with his family – Leyla, Rod, Roya, Mila, Vicki, and Cory.
